EVAN M. LOPEZ: Illustrations, after the flood.

Illustrations, after the flood.

Lately, by the good graces of hard work, I have been rewarded with both more and less...work (i.e. more personal illustration and painting, and less illustration at work). While my personal work gains more attention, " a real paw-prick" of an annoyance on the job has forced my weekly illustration deadline to an extreme last minute. Oh well, thats why I do the painting on the side, cant let the work stuff get to me (even though having to publish work I myself do not really approve really sticks in my craw).

In any case, here is a recent "illo" that I deemed "not TOO bad".

This was supposed to a show a full palate of multiple chihuahuas. But par for my own course, there's just one that aint like the others.

thanks for all the kind words! these 2 pieces are intense! i also remember being pretty stoked about your My Pet Monster piece a while back, ad how awesome and meaningful it was that you did it in magic marker
