Three Cheers...

Three Cheers to the End of Things, is a new book Im working on that will be available from Lulu (sometime soon). The book itself is a collection of short prose and poetry (of sort) that is put together as a narrative. The book begins in darkness, and details a persons ascent from depression through stages to a sort of maniacal acceptance of the world, which is highlighted by the end of the world.

More than a collection of old "stuff", the book is another chance to create a visual story. Each spread and section travels through the ideas highlighted in the text, backing it up and hopefully helping the reader navigate the "story" much like the central character is. In addition to this, I am finishing up a series of paintings that acts as a visual accompaniment, or further highlight of the stages of the book. The plan is to release the book (as a download and an actual physical book) and a few months later have an art show of the paintings, where people can read the book and see the paintings, thus creating a complete version of the idea. Hopefully this all works out as planned.

Almighty Enome!

If I had a brand, it would be enome. In high school I used it to make stickers and t shirts for bands(usually my own only). Through college It lay dormant, except for the creation of the logo, and the initial (name removed) issues, which were my "bad taste" illustrated literary zines. Here are thee Enome logo followed by a few older enome illustrations. Haven't done anything for the enome label lately. Although More issues of (name removed) will come in the future. Possibly a collected paperback as well. Gotta love Lulu.com.

6 trumpets...

Im making a comic book...finally. Initially I had an idea for a story about the seperation of Pangea. It was a war epic with lots of magic and mysticism, and evil empress and a world made out of iron. The world in the story revolved around these six massive horns that sprung out of a mountain, spewing the bellow of heaven or god or the gods. Originally this idea was to be a novel, but I was far too interested in drawing the characters. So now its a comic book.

This is an initial logo/concept that was created while the idea was still in novel form. I still like it, so it survives.
