Gaybama?

To distance myself from the cartoon-ish style I had been using in illustrations for so long, I went a little closer to reality for this piece. I was asked to create something highlighting Obama's run for the LGBT vote. Actually I was asked to make obama look a little more homosexual, but that bit didn't run. Instead I set a couple, fresh off the vote, amidst an "Outfest" (actual festival) backdrop. Im fairly happy with it, although its a bit too pastel for my taste. But it works.


Here is the first "shopped" photo. Although whimsical, it sadly didn't go to print for such a strictly-written article. Oh well again.
