Above is the primary image made for a recent CP cover, focusing money-grubbin' bosses. Originally conceived as a darker story, this idea came from the "lighten-up" attitude added in later drafts.
The "darker elements would have been shown as either a stark, locked-down cash register, or a evil mutant "predator" thing. Eventually showing a single natural predator was thought best. I personally liked the shark. Maybe it wasn't best for this particular cover, but it looks cool. Funny though, after the hawk was done, a little dark was added in the form of a bloody, dead mouse. Go figs. Ahh Photoshoppery...
